Once again, the 13th annual
Chicago Blues Fest was awesome! This year's festivial was held on
May 30th thru June 2nd. There's nothing better than meeting old
friends and enjoying good music outdoors in "Sweet Home
Chicago." The webmasters of this site attended the festival,
and we are sharing our photos of the event with our fellow B.B.

As is the case every year, Otha Turner and his
Mississippi Drum and Fife band lead the call to the festival.

Although Dave Meyers is a much-in-demand bassist, he
still finds time to delight audiences with his own solo guitar
work.

personally autograph a fan's record album.

Africa is a master of a 21 stringed instrument called the Kora.
A member of the new generation, Corey Harris keeps the
acoustic blues tradition alive.

man's name, he sure could blow a mean harp!

Edwards is a living link to the days when the blues were born, he
knew the Delta greats Charlie Patton and Robert Johnson.
Michael Hill, and his band the
Blues Mob, hails from the South Bronx of New York.
Guitarist Lurrie Bell is the son of harmonica genius
Carey Bell.
Lurrie Bell jams with special guest Baby James.
Vance Kelly is a mainstay at Chicago's Checkerboard
Lounge.
